We gladly accept gowns and formal separates suitable for proms, formal dances, cruises, mother/grandmother of the wedding, and other formal events. We DO NOT accept bridal gowns.
All formals must be clean (dry cleaner tag preferred), ready to wear and of current style. We generally cannot accept "vintage" gowns as these have a very specialized market.
The consignment period for most formalwear is four months. If a gown is clearly seasonal (i.e. velvet is winter and pastels are usually for spring/summer), it may be subject to our regular 60-day consignment period.
We sometimes classify certain shoes, purses and jewelry as formalwear with the resulting four month consignment period.
Formalwear pricing is generally ΒΌ to 1/3 of the original price of the item. Sometimes it may be higher dependant on the current demand for certain sizes, colors and/or styles.
Mark-downs on formals are taken at 2 months (20% discount) and at 3 months (50% discount).
