CONSIGNING GUIDLINES

Thank you for your interest in placing your items for sale in our store. If this is your first time consigning with our store, an appointment to bring in your items is required. This will allow us to take the time with you rather than making you wait while we take care of other customers or consigners. Click here to request an appointment or call us at 269-589-6784. We'll ask you to sign a Consignment Agreement upon acceptance of your items.
 
Here's how it works:
  • Up to 50 items will be accepted at your initial appointment.
  • We accept ladies clothing and accessories and small home décor items. We do not accept bridal or maternity clothing.
  • Better and designer labels only
  • Excellent condition required
  • Current styles only (no older than 2-3 years) 
  • CLEAN (no stains or odors), wrinkle-free and on hangers. NOTE: For items requiring a steaming or spot removal prior to display, a $.50 to $2 per item FEE will be charged to the item reducing the proceeds to you for that item.
  • You receive 40% of the selling price of your items
  • We keep items for 60 days (formal attire is kept up to 6 months)
  • Formal Wear is accepted. Please click here for our policy on formals.
  • Consigner pays an account fee of $10. This fee is then applied annually to all active accounts. 
  • You may pick up  your unsold items upon request but a handling fee of $1 per item will be deducted from your proceeds for each item picked up. Any items not picked up within 7 days of the close of the consignment period  become property of My Style. . .Your Style , and most will be sent to a local charity.

Seasonal Considerations –

Buyers want to buy what they will wear right away. So, we stock our store with seasonal items and cannot store many out-of-season items. Therefore, please adhere to the following general guidelines as to when to bring your items.
  • Spring clothing accepted February – May
  • Summer clothing accepted March – early-July
  • Fall clothing accepted late August – October
  • Winter clothing accepted mid-Sept. - January

How do I get the money I have made on the sale of the items I have consigned with My Style . . . Your Style?
 

You may use accrued credit from the sale of your items toward your purchases at My Style Your Style at any time. Alternatively, you may request a check for the amount due you at the end of the 60-day consignment period.
